The secret is the two kinds of balls. Big whiffle balls make it easy for the kids and non-golfers. Foam golf balls make it a real challenge for him. Same buckets, same game, and everybody plays.
HOW TO PLAY
Set up in 2 minutes. Play for hours.

1Each team sets up 6 buckets in a pyramid: 3 in the back, 2 in the middle, 1 in the front.
2Fill each bucket with a little sand or water so they stay in place when hit.
3One team hits first, aiming to get the ball into one of the opponent's buckets.
4Make it, and that bucket is removed from the pyramid.
5The fewer buckets left, the harder the game becomes.
